2 day summary

Forgot to post last night because I got home late from dropping Eli off after church class.  So here's the 2 day summary from me!

Wednesday started with Slim and Metaburn and no run because Lyle was coughing all night long because he has the plague so I was tired.  Had my collagen smoothie.

Took some pictures after having the collagen for 2 weeks.  More glow and less wrinkles and lines!

Water, water, water, BioCleanse and Active.  Lunch was a Publix salad!

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.  Dinner was chili, but I need my green stuff so I put it over broccoli.  It was ecellent.  Had some cheeze it white cheddar crackers with it.  Took some Balance with this meal.

Snack was homemade banana bread.  So good.

Finished the evening with my Probio5, Mega-x and Ease.

This morning, Ella and I kind of started the day right.  We didn't run again- I was tired after staying up late.  But after my Slim and Metaburn, I had my collagen smoothie and Ella had her Active.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse, then lunch was not so hot with Pringles and a protein bar.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse, Active and more water.   Dinner I grabbed some Chick-fil-A.  Grilled chicken sandwich and Kale crunch salad.  Took some balance with this meal.

Snack was more banana bread- yummmmm!  After Grey's I'll be taking my Probio5, Mega-x and Ease.

Productive day!

So my day started off with my Slim and Metaburn and then a run with Ella.  She was able to do over a mile without stopping!  I believe we did 2 miles total.

Got back and had my smoothie with collagen!

Water, Water, BioCleanse, Water.  Lunch brought to you by leftover taco bell tacos and steamfresh potatoes which weren't as good as I wanted them to be.  Had my Balance with this meal.

Water, water, Active, Water, BioCleanse.  The kids and I went and bought some clothes they needed and got some crafting supplies for costumes for Princess races in February.  On the way home, we picked up Nature's Table for dinner.  I got a big Caesar salad and a turkey cranberry wrap made with spinach and spinach inside to double up the green stuff since I didn't get any for lunch!

Not pictured were the chocolate covered peanuts from Bulk Nation- I had about a handful.  More water, now I'm ready for my Probio5, Mega-X and I got another shipment of Ease right on time!

Hurry up and wait

This morning was go go go and wait.  Got up and had my Slim and Metaburn.  Took my shower and then grabbed my smoothie with Collagen!

We left the house a few minutes later than I like to....and when I started my car I didn't have much gas.  Dang.  Took the kids to my parents house, and stopped at the gas station heading to work.  Checked the maps and listened to the radio traffic and I should still make it to work on time.  The traffic gods had other plans though, and once I was on the turnpike there was an accident that slowed things down a lot.  As in it took me over an hour to go 10 miles, and 1.5 hours later I was 30 minutes late for work.   THANK God I stopped for gas even though I was running behind, because I would have ran out of gas sitting in traffic, or worse could have been involved in the multi-car accident.

I got to work, and thankfully my first patient was late also, and the day wasn't fully booked like it was the day before.  Then the pharmacist brought me a homemade oatmeal scotchie cookie.

Did awesome with my water- more than 4 bottles down- and took my BioCleanse.  For lunch I walked over to Wendy's and had a side Caesar salad and a burger.

Kept drinking my water like a rock start and things at the clinic slowed way down.  But my last 3 appointments were booked.  So I did cleaning, stocking, reading and tried to decide how fast or slow the clock could move.  I had my BioCleanse and an Active/Slim to keep me going.

Got through those appointments and rushed home- no problems with traffic!   Stopped for tacos for a crowd and got home.  We had small group for church.  Mexican night so rice, tacos and I had a salad for my greens!  All 3 meals with green veggies!

I had another taco for a snack before bed.  So now I feel bloated and shouldn't have had that last taco.  Ugh.

Probio5, Mega-x, Ease and Bedtime!

Go green!

So this morning I did a bonus post on adding extra good instead of taking away bad, so that was my focus today!

Breakfast after Slim and Metaburn was my Smoothie with collagen!

Not enough water in the morning because I was busy!  Had BioCleanse before lunch, had an Active with my lunch of broccoli salad! Yum!

Water better this afternoon!  BioCleanse and more water.  Dinner plans got all messed up.  So we made homemade pizza but before I had half a smoothie with ton of spinach to get my greens in!  Go me!

After digesting we headed to the garage for some weights and Eli helped by blowing bubbles.

Then Ella and I hit over to the subdivision for some miles and she didn't stop once! I'm sure the weather helped!

And now we're ready to settle down, Probio5, Mega-X and some Ease.

Do more instead of restriction

I've had this idea stewing in my mind for awhile now and after a difficult to sleep night (thanks people down the road with ATVs and loud trucks until 3 AM) and a postponed run due to cold and wet, I'm getting a chance to put it down "on paper".

As many know, I'm riding the struggle bus trying to get back into my good habits that I gradually slipped out of due to stress and life.  I've also struggled with moods (anxiety and depressive symptoms) that lead to negative self talk and the circle of bad habits continuing.   I have some good days and some bad days and going in general in the right direction (which in my opinion trying to go somewhere even if you don't get anywhere is still further than those who don't try!).

But it's a struggle.

I was listening to a podcast the other day on nutrition and parenting differently wired kids.  The nutritionist was talking about how many children who are differently wired also have nutritional deficits which make the problems worse (which I already knew and tried to change up Eli's eating habits and that was more stress added to me).   Her recommendation for parents is to NOT take away any certain foods, but concentrate on adding in more nutrients.  Add in new foods that have high nutrients and it'll gradually take up the space that bad foods held.

Here's the thing- Rachel Hollis has talked before about why she always has people start with adding water to their routine, because it's easier to add something than take away.   I know this to be true.  People are more likely to add exercise than to change their diet- and then often get mad because exercise alone won't help significantly with weight.  But still....I've seen it hundreds of times.  But no one (at least to me) has said out loud about doing this with food.  Rachel Hollis doesn't do this with food either.  She recommends restriction- but only one thing at a time so it's more attainable.  Which I appreciate, but isn't working for me right now.

We worry about don't eat this- eat that instead.  Why instead?  To piggy back on my thoughts last week about greens.  Just think about how much the world would change if we ate more greens?

Why not the first goal be eat more of something healthy?

For my last 90 days, the first 30 I gave up drinkable calories except my Plexus products.  After the 30 days I had 2 sips of Pepsi that made me want to throw up it was so syrupy sweet, and a margarita which was somewhat disappointing and I haven't had more since.  I honestly don't plan on having any more before the end of the year except maybe Christmas time.

The second 30 days I talked about eliminating diary, specifically cheese.  That lasted until Wine and Dine (the 3rd day).  Whoops.  I have had less but have not been good about staying away and honestly the negative self talk is not doing me any good with beating myself up for having some and then stress eating for failing.

So.  Along with what I'm already doing- trying to clean up. Trying to be more whole foods based in general.  Continuing to avoid drinking calories except my Plexus products.  I'm going to ADD at least 3 servings of greens daily.

This will get more nutrition in, get more fiber in, fill me up which can help snacking, and I don't have to restrict more right now when I'm not in the mental state for restriction to work.

I know this won't have major body changes quickly, but I don't want that anyway.  I mean, who wouldn't like that, but that's not the point.   I want to be healthy and happy.  People can not be that way eating processed food, fast food all the time, and high sugar things.   We need whole foods.  We need vitamins and minerals.  We need fuel to keep us going.  But the bad stuff is addictive and quite frankly easier.   So I hope this will be another positive step in the right direction, the healthy direction.  One that doesn't make negative self talk take up my head-space. One that after 30 days of getting the greens I can add another thing.  And as I add more good, it takes up space the bad would inhabit.  That's the goal.

The struggle bus limps on

So I think I'm funny.  That's why there's a title.  Really the struggle bus was pulled off in the ditch and burned a long time ago.  Let's get real.  That's life.

Anyway, I didn't get up today.  No excuse except I didn't want to which is actually a shame because we're having great temps for great runs.

I had my Slim and Metaburn. Then my smoothie with collagen.

Water, water, water.  Did excellent with my water today.  BioCleanse.  For lunch I caved and went to Burger King because a chicken sandwich sounded good, and there were people crowded around my door and I wanted to run away.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.  Then I went home and made food to go with dinner.  Friends brought over Publix chicken and I made broccoli salad and pasta salad.

I had 2 servings of each the broccoli salad and pasta salad because it was great!

So great eating? No.  Decent eating?  Yes.  Actually the broccoli salad came from me wanting to make sure I had some green veggies tonight.  So I had 3 servings of greens all day between the smoothie and 2 servings of broccoli salad for dinner.

Progress!

Now for Probio5, Mega-x and some Ease and bedtime.  I promise I'll run tomorrow.

Disney plus...

So I forgot to do this yesterday, because I was deep in the depths of the Disney Vault until it was time for bed and it slipped my mind.

We have Verizon unlimited data plans so free Disney Plus for a year means I get to subject my children to all my favorite childhood things no matter how ridiculous they may be.

The perfect example is the made for TV Disney Movie- Smart House- where the teen wins a brand new smart house but isn't notified by phone because he's still on the internet and it's busy!  My children were confused.  Check out this blockbuster if you want to know why I don't trust Alexa ;)

But I digress.  How did I eat?  Decent which even though I'd rather be saying great I'll take decent over junk.

Breakfast was a smoothie with collagen after drinking my Slim, taking Metaburn and going for an interval run with Ella.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse, water.  Then Lunch was with Eli- we went to Chick-Fil-A but I saved carbs and calories and just got nuggets and fruit.  I was going to add some veggies at home but was too full.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.   I had plans for dinner to be pork chops and veggies but it really didn't sound good to me.  I wanted a publix salad and my husband brought me one home!

After dinner Disney plus was streaming so we had popcorn and I also ate around 8 marshmallows (not pictured).

So as you can see, I still had some evening snacks but made a little better choices then digging everything out of the pantry.   Here's to continuing the trend of better decisions!

How to make a decent day bad....

Mac and Cheese is the answer.  Velveeta to be exact.

Let me backtrack.  Woke up, run with Ella, Slim and Metaburn. Then followed up with my Smoothie made from Lean and Collagen Powder.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.  Lunch was cracker/meat/cheese tray.

A snack awhile later after more water was a protein bar.

More water, BioCleanse, water, water.

Then dinner, after horrible traffic on the way home, I had Mac and Cheese, Peas, and Smoked sausage with Balance.  Also had some salad.

Now I'm watching Grey's Anatomy, feeling sick to my stomach because of too much mac and cheese, drinking more water and ready for my Probio5 to help me digest all of this.  Mega-X and Ease.

Greens rule

Today has been a weird day. I got up early to run, but it was cold and raining so we didn't.
Drank my slim, had my metaburn and got my smoothie with collagen and headed to work.
Was kind of busy, so didn't do as much water as normal for the morning, but had my BioCleanse and only worked a half a day.  Took an Edge for energy instead of Active to save our supply for Ella.  Went to the grocery store and then had lunch of cottage cheese and broccoli with cheese that I didn't finish because it was disgusting.  Don't get steam fresh broccoli with cheese.
I then had a telephone interview that went well!   Drank lots of water during that time to make up for the morning and had more BioCleanse.   Had an early dinner of salad because I then had to head to the free clinic to volunteer.
After volunteer work, I was discussing with Ella while eating a taco from Taco Bell (I only had one, she didn't have dinner and had 3 and a soda).
Anyway, we were discussing how if you ate a serving of something green with everything else you ate you would get so much fiber and nutrients you could eat almost anything and be full enough to not over-eat also.

Just think about how world changing it would be if everyone had 50% of the food they ate to be some sort of green veggie.  I wasn't perfect, but today was decently close with spinach in the smoothie, broccoli (at least the thought of it) for lunch and salad with dinner.  If everyone in the world followed the rule of eating a serving of greens before eating anything else I could guarantee that we'd have less diabetes, blood pressure problems, autoimmune problems, and so much more.  Just some food for thought on this fine day as I think about how to add more to myself and my family's meals.

Time for Probio5, Mega-x and Ease.
