Back on Track

One way people can succeed with weight loss and health goals is by having accountability.  Taking pictures and using this as a food journal can help me be successful!  So I'm working on the food journal again!

Breakfast consisted of eggs and a cutie.

Lunch was a big salad

Snack included trying a Mochi ice cream and pickles.  No I'm not pregnant and no it wasn't together.

Dinner was a burger, a few tator tots, roasted cauliflower, and fresh pineapple!

Loaded up on my water all day, took my supplements all day....and I hate the day after daylight savings times- I'm ready for bed at 7pm!!!!

Sunday in recovery

Today I started trying to live normally again and did pretty decent. Had a few coughing spells but got through!
Started with my Pink Drink and Vitalbiome and then lifted with the husband- did dead lifts and clean and jerks among other things. Then ran a mile with Ella.

So breakfast today after working out was my Lean and Collagen smoothie with my X-factor, Ease, and Metaburn!

Water, water, water, and some Active after church.  Lunch was a 7ish layer salad.

Snacks today consisted of banana and cheese stick.  I really wanted chocolate.  Lucky for me, I don't have any so I didn't have to torture myself!

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.  Dinner tonight was Meatloaf and mixed veggies, but I made sweet potato potato salad and ate that before dinner was cooked and didn't do the mixed veggies.

Those don't look the yummiest, but they are!

More water.  Family and one of Eli's friends were outside playing this evening including jump rope contests!  I think I win!

Before bed I'll do my Probio5, Mega-x and Ease!

Happy New Year

Happy New Years!   Last I posted was New Years morning, I had just completed my running and drank my Lean/Collagen Smoothie to kick the New Year off Right!
After tons of water and BioCleanse, I had some grapes as a snack, and for lunch a low-carb turkey wrap!

More water, BioCleanse but then started to get a sinus headache. A friend took Eli for awhile to play and while Lyle and the rest of the family had salmon per our meal plan for dinner- I went with noodle soup to help loosen the congestion.  This is Mrs. Grass soup which is no where on the meal plan but always my go-to when I'm sick in any way.  I didn't add any extra noodles or crackers like I always do though, so I'm counting it as a healthy!   I also had 2 turkey sticks a little bit later for a snack since that and decongestants were helping.

More water, Probio5, Ease, and Mega-X then off to bed.

Got up the next morning, drank my Active/Slim, took my Vitalbiome and met my friend for a 5k training run.  Lots of coughing and a rough go.  Then got Lyle out of bed and we lifted weights and did the "walk" (he took off running which I couldn't catch up), and then Ella and I wrapped up with a mile of intervals.   Breakfast we made egg "muffins" the night before and got them out of the fridge- they warm up easy.  Took my x-factor, Ease, Metaburn and prescription medications with it.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse and grapes for a snack again.

With decongestants kicking in, started feeling better- just a little congestion- and family visited before flying home to Indiana.  So we took them to a local place called "The Catfish Place".   I had a side salad, shrimp and tenders with fries and hush-puppies.  I ate 1 and 1/2 off the hush-puppies (because from this place you HAVE to) and maybe 4 fries?  Not much.  Mostly the meat and salad.

We had a beautiful Florida afternoon and sat in the backyard talking.  I was still drinking down my water and had my BioCleanse.  I started getting a little congested again as the afternoon wore on and I dabbed some Ease Cream on my chest and head to try to help open up and relieve headache.

Dinner was supposed to be green beans and smoked sausage- I had a little but also had some more of my sick soup.

More water, Probio5, Ease, and Mega-X and I was in bed asleep by 8:30 PM.

I get ill so rarely it's like an insult to my being.  I think since I've been running on full for awhile now that I have time to focus on me and relax, not to mention trying to get on a new system, my immune system is a little low.  I hope I bounce back quick, which I normally do, especially without all the junk in my eating to flair it all up. (sugar feeds bad stuff y'all)

So that's what's up now.  I just woke up and did my gratitude practice for today and getting ready to mix my Slim.

ReNew Challenge

If you want to see my face at 4:30 AM-  here you go!  Beautiful, right?

I got up at 4:35 AM, had my Vitalbiome and  Slim and Active Combo and did my gratitude and goal setting practice.  Why? Because every day we have a choice to be a new us, today this is me.

I exercised by doing a mile run and then a quick exercise routine.  My husband and accountability partner was supposed to get out of bed and work out.  That didn't happen but I wasn't letting that be an excuse. Today is freaking day 1.

Breakfast on the meal plan today is my smoothie so I made that and had my antidepressant pill, Ease for crazy sinus with our crazy weather, and my x-factor.  I packed my lunch bag up and Lyle's too, and snapped a quick picture before my shower.

I went to work, had lots of water!  Had my BioCleanse between meals.  For lunch I had a yummy wrap I made with a low carb wrap, tomato, lettuce and lean chicken breast.

More water, and then some grapes and some more BioCleanse mid-afternoon.

On the way home in the car- which is dinnertime mind you- I had 2 boiled eggs, a bag of carrots and an apple for dinner.  Apple not pictured.

And when I got home, I was full because I ate in the car!  I got here and our packages for all of our stuff for our Plexus ReNew Challenge came in the mail!  Yay!

Now I get some relaxation time because I worked out earlier, will take my Probio5 and Mega X before bed, and will be ready to start again tomorrow!

If you can't tell in my tone- my medication for anxiety and depression is really helping me be excited for good, positive changes.  The super benefit is when I make these changes my habit again instead of the old way, I won't need as much medication because I will be taking care of my body better again!

Here's to the best me in 2020!

Do more instead of restriction

I've had this idea stewing in my mind for awhile now and after a difficult to sleep night (thanks people down the road with ATVs and loud trucks until 3 AM) and a postponed run due to cold and wet, I'm getting a chance to put it down "on paper".

As many know, I'm riding the struggle bus trying to get back into my good habits that I gradually slipped out of due to stress and life.  I've also struggled with moods (anxiety and depressive symptoms) that lead to negative self talk and the circle of bad habits continuing.   I have some good days and some bad days and going in general in the right direction (which in my opinion trying to go somewhere even if you don't get anywhere is still further than those who don't try!).

But it's a struggle.

I was listening to a podcast the other day on nutrition and parenting differently wired kids.  The nutritionist was talking about how many children who are differently wired also have nutritional deficits which make the problems worse (which I already knew and tried to change up Eli's eating habits and that was more stress added to me).   Her recommendation for parents is to NOT take away any certain foods, but concentrate on adding in more nutrients.  Add in new foods that have high nutrients and it'll gradually take up the space that bad foods held.

Here's the thing- Rachel Hollis has talked before about why she always has people start with adding water to their routine, because it's easier to add something than take away.   I know this to be true.  People are more likely to add exercise than to change their diet- and then often get mad because exercise alone won't help significantly with weight.  But still....I've seen it hundreds of times.  But no one (at least to me) has said out loud about doing this with food.  Rachel Hollis doesn't do this with food either.  She recommends restriction- but only one thing at a time so it's more attainable.  Which I appreciate, but isn't working for me right now.

We worry about don't eat this- eat that instead.  Why instead?  To piggy back on my thoughts last week about greens.  Just think about how much the world would change if we ate more greens?

Why not the first goal be eat more of something healthy?

For my last 90 days, the first 30 I gave up drinkable calories except my Plexus products.  After the 30 days I had 2 sips of Pepsi that made me want to throw up it was so syrupy sweet, and a margarita which was somewhat disappointing and I haven't had more since.  I honestly don't plan on having any more before the end of the year except maybe Christmas time.

The second 30 days I talked about eliminating diary, specifically cheese.  That lasted until Wine and Dine (the 3rd day).  Whoops.  I have had less but have not been good about staying away and honestly the negative self talk is not doing me any good with beating myself up for having some and then stress eating for failing.

So.  Along with what I'm already doing- trying to clean up. Trying to be more whole foods based in general.  Continuing to avoid drinking calories except my Plexus products.  I'm going to ADD at least 3 servings of greens daily.

This will get more nutrition in, get more fiber in, fill me up which can help snacking, and I don't have to restrict more right now when I'm not in the mental state for restriction to work.

I know this won't have major body changes quickly, but I don't want that anyway.  I mean, who wouldn't like that, but that's not the point.   I want to be healthy and happy.  People can not be that way eating processed food, fast food all the time, and high sugar things.   We need whole foods.  We need vitamins and minerals.  We need fuel to keep us going.  But the bad stuff is addictive and quite frankly easier.   So I hope this will be another positive step in the right direction, the healthy direction.  One that doesn't make negative self talk take up my head-space. One that after 30 days of getting the greens I can add another thing.  And as I add more good, it takes up space the bad would inhabit.  That's the goal.

Disney plus...

So I forgot to do this yesterday, because I was deep in the depths of the Disney Vault until it was time for bed and it slipped my mind.

We have Verizon unlimited data plans so free Disney Plus for a year means I get to subject my children to all my favorite childhood things no matter how ridiculous they may be.

The perfect example is the made for TV Disney Movie- Smart House- where the teen wins a brand new smart house but isn't notified by phone because he's still on the internet and it's busy!  My children were confused.  Check out this blockbuster if you want to know why I don't trust Alexa ;)

But I digress.  How did I eat?  Decent which even though I'd rather be saying great I'll take decent over junk.

Breakfast was a smoothie with collagen after drinking my Slim, taking Metaburn and going for an interval run with Ella.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse, water.  Then Lunch was with Eli- we went to Chick-Fil-A but I saved carbs and calories and just got nuggets and fruit.  I was going to add some veggies at home but was too full.

Water, water, water, BioCleanse.   I had plans for dinner to be pork chops and veggies but it really didn't sound good to me.  I wanted a publix salad and my husband brought me one home!

After dinner Disney plus was streaming so we had popcorn and I also ate around 8 marshmallows (not pictured).

So as you can see, I still had some evening snacks but made a little better choices then digging everything out of the pantry.   Here's to continuing the trend of better decisions!
