Food journal for Hump Day. Don't mind the pizza.

I'm going to do a bonus post with a lot of rambling about my child, the complexities of having a differently wired kid (at least mind), and this will explain why I'm kind of short on my food journal today.  So here's the food. ....

Got up this morning for a run with the girl.  She did pretty good.  Took my Vitalbiome before the run today.

Had my Pink Drink and Metaburn.
I forgot my breakfast picture- had scrambled eggs.  Water, water, water and BioCleanse.

I had to hit up my Balance before lunch because I had some not delivery pizza.  Eli did so, so well at his dentist appointment and we took a forever visit to Walmart and got him a vegan pizza and me this one with the veggies.

Water, water, BioCleanse, Water.  Should have had an Active since I'm so tired at 7 PM but can't go to bed until all the kids are home from church events.

I decided to have some penance for lunch and did a huge salad for dinner.  Hit the spot since I was SOOOOO full from lunch.

Probio5, Mega-X, and Ease before bed.  Ready for some reading and quiet time.

Long day done...

So it's been a long week.  I love my job, but 6 days in a row with 4 of them being 10 hour days is a lot.  I'm so happy to be coming up to a break!

No major life altering news today.  Basically my food and exercise journal-

I got up and took a Vitalbiome and did my couch to 10 k in intervals with Ella.

Then I had my Pink Drink and Metaburn.  I took my X-factor and Ease on the road with me.

Breakfast was chick-fil-a because I have a problem.  I took my Balance before.

Water, Active for energy, water.  I took my BioCleanse between meals.

Lunch was fruit leftover from Chick-fil-a breakfast, 2 boiled eggs and almonds.  I ate the apple later as a snack with the PB.

Water, Water, Water.  BioCleanse and an extra Slim in the afternoon.
For Dinner I had a Plexus meal replacement shake. Yummy chocolate!

Then when I got home I had some lemon cake.  I need to throw the rest away so I don't eat it.  Here's the plate- forgot the picture before eating it.

More water, and soon I'll take my Probio5, Mega-X and Ease!

Looking forward to some home and family time this week!

Simple post for a simple day

Today was a nice day overall.  Got up and went to work.  Kept food simple even though the die off symptoms have slowed down a little.  Came home and had small group for church group.  Now I'm ready for bed!

Had my Vitalbiome, Pink Drink, and Metaburn.  Then for breakfast I had a fab 4 smoothie and took my X-factor and some Ease.  Some good greens and clean protein to start my day.

Water, Active, water.  BioCleanse between meals.   For lunch was a weird grab bag.  Clean protein bar, 2 boiled eggs and an apple with peanut butter.

Water, Water, Water.  BioCleanse.  Also had another Pink Drink for good measure.  On the way home I popped some Balance because I knew I'd be coming home to yummy food.  I had a some breakfast casserole, fruit, cinnamon roll and lemon cake.  Yum!  Drank more water.  Count for today was 13 bottles of water between 6 AM and 8 PM.

Now I'm ready for my Probio5, Mega-X, Ease and bedtime!

Another week of progress

This morning I started my day right with a run with my daughter.  We did intervals to get her started to get ready for her first half marathon in February.

So food today will be easy enough.  I'm having some die off symptoms so I'm fasting today.  My tongue hurts from some bad bacteria and yeast getting out of my system from clean eating and Plexus products. Lovely, right?!  It happens differently for everyone and can be anything from bloating, to headaches, to yeast infections and more.  Google it to learn more.  It's a good/bad thing.  We want the stuff gone and out and never to return- but it doesn't feel the best.  Some people even stop their Plexus products thinking it's an allergic reaction.

So just drinking my lovely pink drink and even more water than normal!
Took my X-factor still in the morning and BioCleanse between meals.  I'm going to take extra Probio5 tonight at bedtime too.

So die off is a tricky beast and there's 2 ways to tackle it when it happens.  You can either back down from the products and take it slower....or you can bump up the pressure and bust through the wall.  I'm breaking down the wall.  Part of it depends on how bad the symptoms are, and the other part is how prepared you are to deal with it.   I know what I'm jumping into and hoping to get through quickly with the right tools.

So....this week's progress.  I wasn't expecting much, if anything.  And I still hate these pictures :(  But...I'm down another 1/2 inch on the waist.  Weight is exactly the same as last week.  Hips are the same, bust is down.  I'm pleasantly surprised because I haven't done as well for choices this week as you all know.

Here's the before and after from where I started.  We're getting there!

Until tomorrow-

Well...today...

Today was a mixed bag of eating.  I said I would be brutally honest for these and I will be.

This morning I woke up and didn't get to run thanks to tropical storm Nestor.  Raining buckets today before I had to go to work.  Still had my Vitalbiome, Pink Drink and Metaburn.

Breakfast was a protein bar on the way to work. I was going to do eggs but my husband was cooking 6 million pounds of bacon for a church event.

Water, water, water and had BioCleanse between meals.  Took my Balance about 20 minutes before lunch and I had a turkey sub for lunch from Subway.

My work friend also gave me this little lemon cake thing.  It was yummy!

Water, water, water and BioCleanse between meals.  Had an Active/Slim on the way home from work.

So here's my bad thing.  We took the dog to the vet and got Arby's on the way home.  Mozerella sticks and Roast Beef and Cheddar.   So yum. But it filled me WAY up!  I'm already regretting it.

More water.  Probio5, Mega-X and Ease for bed!

I'll be doing the weigh in tomorrow, so I know I won't be super happy.  So I'm going to take this as my get my booty back where I was before vacation.

Here's one thing I know for sure with Plexus.  Weight loss is a side effect.  You HAVE to eat healthy for it to help.  But I lose weight and inches pretty darn easy with these tools when I do the right things.  That wasn't always the case.  I've done all the right things before Plexus and it never worked.  It's the gut health, sugar balance, and nutritional problems.  Without addressing those issues, most people won't lose.   Without eating healthy, nobody will lose.  You need all the puzzle pieces to make it work.

Things I love....my probiotic

I'm doing an extra post today to share something I love and am passionate about- PROBIOTICS.

EVERYONE NEEDS A PROBIOTIC.  100%.  Even more than multivitamins.  Actually, much more than multivitamins.  Because if you don't have good gut health, you won't be able to absorb anything from those multivitamins and it defeats the purpose in taking them!

I, of course, LOVE my Plexus products and I will tell you a special probiotic is what sold me on the company and is my FAVORITE product.  If I could afford to, I would buy everyone I know a bottle of this.

First off- why probiotics?  Our microbiome- the living bacteria cells that are all over us and in us.   Here's a quick 3 minute video on this- What is the Microbiome?

Okay- now that we understand we need to have healthy bacteria, or we won't be healthy and feel the effects of this in many ways, what is and why the product I love?

Plexus Probio5

This probiotic powerhouse not only has 5 beneficial bacteria, but contains digestive enzymes and is designed to keep intestinal yeast (which can cause bunches of issues- google it) in balance.   Here is a link to the product info sheet which has references and all the deets- ProBio5 Product Info Sheet

My personal experience with other probiotics were blah.  Didn't notice a big difference.  And I think the difference was the enzymes helping to break down and digest and the yeast balance.  You could find these types of products from other companies or at specialized stores, but you would have to get multiple products!  I already take several capsules a day- but it would take 3 different ones to equal this one product!

Plexus has another probiotic called VitalBiome which I've talked about and probably do it's own spotlight on another day.  It works a little different.  But if something happened and I had to cut down my Plexus supply to the bare essentials- Probio5 would not be leaving my hands.  Everyone in my family takes it.  It has helped us all.  And I think it needs sold in 5 gallon buckets! ;)

I could literally talk all day about probiotics, gut health, and/or Plexus products.  When I read this post it sounds kind of superficial- like, 'hey, I love this'- without much meat or reasoning.  But on public platforms like this I have to be careful to not make medical claims, make things sound like medical advice, or not sound like probiotics treat or cure illnesses.  Please shoot me an email if you want to have an actual conversation about gut health, probiotics and/or Plexus and I'd love to tell you more!

A new day.

Happy Friday.  I went to bed early last night, and woke up feeling better.

Appetite still a little low, so I had my Vitalbiome, Slim and Metaburn before leaving the house.

I had some chick-fil-a for breakfast- I only ate the breakfast bowl because it filled me up!  Had my x-factor and ease.

Lots and lots of water, BioCleanse in the midmorning.

Water, water, water.  Lunch was the fruit bowl from Chick-fil-A and a protein bar.  Filled me up.

Mid afternoon I had BioCleanse, Slim and Active!  All day long today I didn't have much negative self talk and definitely not the doom and gloom from yesterday.  I am very thankful for all the well wishes and prayers.

Dinner that was balanced on the way home was more chick-fil-a.  Whoops.   It was just a chicken sandwich.  No fries or drinks.  I was going to have a Lean meal replacement but I drank all 12 bottles of water I took to work with me!

Water rockstar today!

Now I'm tired and actually looking forward to getting up and running tomorrow.  I think not eating much yesterday, which wouldn't feed the bad mood bacteria was actually kind of a good thing.  Let's keep it rolling!

Time for Probio5, Mega-X, and Ease and bed!

The sky is falling...

So my title is from Grey's Anatomy.  I'm watching it right now.  But it works well for my mood today.

This morning, I didn't want to get out bed.  Didn't feel rested and just dreaded the day.  I figured it was just normal staying up too late and getting up early after vacation.

I took my Vitalbiome and went and ran with Ella.  It was a decent run even thought it was slower than our normal.

Still didn't feel good.  I got in the shower and just wanted to cry, but it wouldn't come.  Why couldn't I just let whatever out?

So I keep going through the motions.  Had my pink drink and Metaburn.  Got dressed.  Left for work.  The drive was unremarkable. Traffic not too bad.

I get to work and you know what I want- really, really want?  Alcohol.  Wine or margarita.  I've said before I totally understand why people become alcoholics- they probably self medicate from the world.  I wanted to.  Ugh.   Didn't feel like crying anymore though.  Just wish I could disappear.

I started feeling nauseated.  Sick to my stomach.   Feeling awful.  I put on Facebook asking for prayers.  Then immediately felt bad like I was attention seeking.  It's so hard to ask for help when you want to be strong.

Had my BioCleanse.

I finally ate something at lunch. I wasn't hungry but the nauseating feeling was worse.  I didn't pack anything, so I ate what I call a grown up lunch able and a cliff bar.

I relaxed for awhile and read my book. It's funny, so that helps.

I started messaging some friends in my Plexus groups- I'm heartbroken for some of my good friends and frustrated with others.  Being in the mood I've been in today doesn't help.  I want to scream at some of them. I want to cry for others.  I want to slap sense in some people who are looking for a get rich quick and/or looking for magic weight loss through another company.  I want to cry for people who are feeling betrayed, lied to, and conned.
I just want to say the grass isn't greener, magic weight loss doesn't happen, and I'm not budging.

Took my second dose of BioCleanse in the afternoon.  Felt like a con the more people who commented support and prayers for me on my post- although Lord knows I need it.  I'm crying now thinking about how much I need it.

Worked a little late because I got busy.  Texted a friend trying to help her with a very sick son (who by the way is on the way to the hospital- so prayers for him).  On the drive home got some road rage- today was cut Sarah off day on 417.   Talked to a good Plexus friend and vented my concerns and frustration about previous things.

Walked in the door at home not hungry but mad, sad, upset and stomach churning with nausea again.   I walk in and no cold water in the fridge.  Ugh.   I go to the bathroom and there's no toilet paper on the roll and I want to punch someone.  Gosh I'm in an awesome mood.

I ate some lasagna to stop the stomach problems.  It was okay.  I didn't really taste it.

Then I started typing.  But I'm so exhausted.  I'm not sure why mental and emotional exhaustion is so physically overwhelming, but here we are.  Still want to cry.  Still won't come.

What a day.

I want to be strong.  I want to be positive.  I want to feel better.  I want to not feel like crying.  I want to have an exact reason to cry and feel this bad.  And I actually have a list.  But listing them feels like whining.  Feels like complaining.  Feels like weakness.  Feels like not being grateful.

Things could be worse.  But I feel like I'm failing my son.  I feel like he's regressing.  I feel like he may never be successful.  I feel like when we still have some diagnoses and answers we don't have them all.  That we're not doing enough. That we'd never be able to afford what it would take to be enough.  That I'm not helping others enough.  That I'm not a good enough wife.  That I'm not a good enough NP.  That I'm not a good enough friend.  That I don't take care of my house enough.  That I don't take care of anything enough.

And I will tell you a HUGE part of this is the junk I ate all weekend.  Sugar and junk cause gut inflammation.  Gut inflammation decreases serotonin.  Serotonin is what makes us feel good.  I don't feel good.  I was feeling bad.  I was doing better with eating and my moods were better.  4 days of junky food that progressively got worse and here I am. Back in the basement.  Lower than the basement.

So I don't want to.  This is me.  Today.   Grey's is almost over.  Time to take my Probio5, Mega-x and Ease and tuck in.

Quitting

Last day of vacation.  I'm exhausted.  Every mom everywhere should get a day after vacation to relax.   Repacking, trying to remember everything, and getting home and unpacking.

First thing was Vitalbiome, Slim and Metaburn.

So breakfast was fruit, cheese and eggs with x-factor and Ease.

Midmorning had Active by the pool with Ella.  Fruit snacks for a snack and BioCleanse plus a ton of water.

I forgot a lunch picture- I had grilled chicken sandwich and some fries.  Water, water, water.
Midafternoon BioCleanse when I got home.  Fruit snacks for a snack again. Maybe we shouldn't buy more of those for awhile.

Dinner was super unhealthy.  Chinese deliciousness with Balance.  Tons of fried junk but some veggies....so still bad.

And then Ella (okay, me) wanted some dessert so we went on an ice cream run.

Here's the interesting part.  This week's theme is quitting.  Week 3 is often when people give up.  It's getting real and quitting is easier than actually changing our habits.

Dave Hollis said something today in the Start Today morning show about how one of our worst habits is actually quitting.  We get so good at quitting, we often just need to learn how to NOT quit, no matter the goal.

I felt that one for real.  The times I've stuck with stuff had little to do with what the goal was (hard or easy) and more to do with my attitude and whether I was willing to give up.

So tomorrow is a new day, I'm back at home, and I'm ready to get back on the wagon.  AND I've already kept 2 promises to myself- my daily gratitude and goal setting, and not drinking soda/alcohol.  It would have been easy to just do it once or twice this weekend, but I didn't.  Because I promised myself.  And I'm not breaking that promise.

Blessings in Health and Happiness-
